Day 3: Staying the Course

Embrace Change written on a dark green sweatshirt with butterflies.

Hello, hello.

Yup, I’m writing again. Day 3 of… about what?

Well, I’m not really sure yet just doing it…

Today, I was at the part-time gig, but I wasn’t feeling it. Don’t get me wrong, the day job is adequate—fine coworkers, free coffee, trash pay. Did I mention the free coffee?

But honestly, it’s a job that no longer fits. The current me wants to focus on our apparel, graphics, and online presence.

A change is on the horizon.

Not a Tower moment, just the Death of that part of me. No drama, it’s a tarot card reference.

Tonight, I walked in the door, fed the piggies, and made a super yummy tuna salad on a bed of Kirby cucumbers and carrots—saved half for lunch tomorrow.

Then I turned on “1 Hour of Dark & Powerful Viking Music” and got to typing.

Writing without a clear goal in mind is a bit cringe-inducing. I assume that when I read these posts a few dozen blog entries from now, I’ll be wondering… no! why?!

Businesswise, I’ll be finishing up Halloween graphic tees and trick-or-treat canvas sack images by the end of the week. Halloween has been a lot of work. I love it, but it’s been a lot—especially with Etsy freaking out sellers again.

It’s a fine platform, but it does bring some drama. I know all the changes are made in the spirit of improving the shopping experience, but once upon a time, eBay tinkered too much with their platform. Within weeks, eBay went from the place to be, to most of their sellers bailing and PayPal asking for a divorce.

I’m just starting to trust eBay again—a decade and a half later!

I’m hoping Etsy calms down after these latest changes. I don’t want to involve myself in their drama, though I am peeking beyond their platform, just in case. I’m also considering adding a fully loaded shop on this site.

Alright, off to throw the piggies’ “linens” in the washer, then create more Halloween graphics until it’s time to curl up with a good book and fall asleep with my glasses on.

Enjoy your evening! Chat tomorrow,
